A closer look at I Feel Love
Let’s take a look at “I Feel Love“, the song Madonna performs at the beginnig of the Confession Tour mixed with her song “Future Lovers“, as exclusively reported for the first time online on March 29 by MadonnaTribe. Later on May 02 we added Madonna was doing the snippet of the song live.
“I Feel Love” was written in 1977 by Donna Summer, Pete Bellotte and Giorgio Moroder and originally released in 1977 on the concept album “I Remember Yesterday“. The album is a collection of songs representing each a different historical period and musical style.
The song found immediate success and became one of the most important recordings in the history of club/dance music.
New remixes of the original song were made through the years by the likes of Junior Vasquez and Masters At Work, while cover versions were produced by Bronski Beat featuring Marc Almond, Vanessa Mae and Blondie among others.
Many artists and bands borrowed Moroder’s innovative synthesized loops from the song using them in other tracks.
The album version of Madonna’s “Future Lovers” also used a music loop very reminiscent of “I Feel Love“, even if the song is not officialy credited as a sample.
