The Confessions Tour was broadcast on cable channel NRJ12 in France tonight. It was on from 8h50 until 10h25, so 1h35 mins, with only one commercial break!

The ad break was right between Like it or not and I Love New York, which, if you are only going to have one ad break, really does seem the best place to put it in terms of the editing. Despite the bits that were cut out, the rest seemed to flow quite nicely, and for someone who hadn’t seen the concert before (and so didn’t know exactly how it should have been), you really couldn’t tell that bits had been cut out.

The version shown was the same as channel 4 in the UK – ie, none of the swearing was bleeped out, Live to Tell was shown in full with Madonna on the cross (and bizarrzey, there were French subtitles for the dancer’s confessions!!). The websites for Easising Malawi and Clinton Foundation weren’t blurred out though.

If you’re in France, be sure to tune in tomorrow (New Years Eve) as it’s repeated at 6h05 PM.
