Ive always wanted to see her, but I’ve never had the money and my parents have been iffy to let me see a Madonna concert.

I was only 13 when the Drowned World Tour was around. plus, I live the most southern part of Texas and she’s never come here.

Then, with the re-Invention Tour, we just didn’t really have the money for it, so I entered VH-1’s contest for pit tickets but then I got really sick and was in the hospital for about a week and almost died (thats a completely different story though).

Well, either way I didn’t win. I was really disappointed and felt I would never see Madonna live.

This year was my senior year and I would be graduating. She said she would be touring during an interview for the view and I told my mom and she said she would try to get me tickets, that I just needed to find out the dates.

Well, Confessions came out and she finally announced dates this past spring. no Texas dates! damn…I thought that perhaps I should just give up. My mom said to give me her website and I did and we began to plan out the trip… but the sale day came and went and she didn’t get me tickets.

I was so bummed out. Then I was online like at 3 in the morning and saw she added another Vegas date! And they would go on sale the next day! So I woke up my mom at 3 in the morning and told her. I gave her the info and she said she would try the next day. She did and she got tickets to go see her on her last Vegas date! Yay! She got tickets for me, her, and my aunt.

I was so excited. she then told me it would be my graduation gift and birthday gift (my birthday is May 20, and I graduated the 26th of May). I was so excited and told all of my friends. My best friend asked what date it was and I told her and she told me that was her graduation party’s date.

She then began to argue with me and call me a selfish faggot. we seriously stopped talking for awhile and it was all because of Madonna! I asked other people what they thought, and they all told me Madonna was so worth it and for me not to worry about it!

That made me feel better. This would be my first time outside of Texas and I knew I would love Vegas. 9 graduated last Friday (the 26th) and flew out the next day. It was my first time flying so I was a tad scared. I got on the plane and would fly from Harligen Texas to Houston Texas. I freaked out a tad on the plane but then felt better once I got to houston.

From Houston we would fly straight to Vegas…or at least thats what I thought. it turns out we would fly back to San Antonio, which is quite stupid because its like we flew back. well, anyways, I wasn’t gonna let that get me down. well, we got to San Antonio ready to fly straight to Vegas! Yes! Well, we’re on the plane when the captain says we didn’t have enough fuel!!! What the hell!?!? How could we not have enough fuel! So we would have to make another stop in El Paso and get some fuel.

Well, right when we landed, I was so sick I began puking. So, basically, I puked from El Paso to Vegas. It was not a pretty sight. once we got to Vegas, I was alright. I got off the plane and it was so worth it.

I was in Vegas to see Madonna!
How awesome is that? Well, my concert was the next day so we pretty much stayed in the hotel. Since i’m only 18, I wasn’t allowed to gamble. Oh well. My mother sure did. Along with my aunt and the free drinks.

The next day I was so excited and ready for the big “M”.

We went along the strip and went back for a little nap. We woke up and headed towards the MGM and it was so beautiful inside. I also kept hearing Madonna! They played “Til death do us part“, “Express Yourself“, “Keep it Together” and a bunch of other songs. It got me hyped. We headed towards the arena and gift store. I got several items and went in.It was so exciting. We sat down and these two girls sat in front of us. They were pretty funny and sweet….and kinda drunk. Wll, one was at least.

They began telling us their story and how they got tickets for the Drowned World Tour in LA but how it got canceled because of September 11th. The more drunk one also told me how they tried to get tickets from ticket master but it kept telling them they were from Canada.That’s when the girl replied “I’m not fucking canadian!” We all laughed.

Ww were all ready for Madonna. It was 8 and she still wasn’t on yet. Oh well. I can wait for her.

Everyone began getting seated and these two chinese girls sit next to us in fur coats and wearing such glamourous clothing! And eating nachos! That’s when everyone decided they wanted a beer and a smoke. The smoke would come in during the show though, so noone would see.

Then… the lights dim. She was coming on!

On came the future lovers video and everyone began cheering! The disco ball landed and emerged Madonn!!!

I thought I was going to faint. It was so amazing the lighting. The song finished and the people around me were going to begin their smoking but madonna talked first…

“Everyone put out their cigarettes! Tonight I’m going to be the only one on fire!”

Oh, she sure was. She was so hot that night… and so were the rest of us since the AC wasn’t on!!!

It was all worth it though. She put on one hell of a show and everybody loved it.
I will never forget it.
