Cassaday for Ritchie’s ”Gamekeeper”
John Cassaday – Astonishing X-Men – will illustrate alternate covers for Gamekeeper, a new series created exclusively for Virgin Comics by Hollywood director Guy Ritchie (Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, Snatch).
“I’ve been a fan of Guy Ritchie‘s work for a long time,” Cassaday said. “Inventive and cleverly stylish, he’s one of my favorite filmmakers. I jumped at the chance to take part… I’m a fan of Guy’s. I loved Snatch. This is sounding strange, isn’t it?”
Written by Andy Diggle ( Losers ) with pencils by Mukesh Singh ( Devi ), Gamekeeper is the story of Brock, a man with a dark past who is content as the gamekeeper of a sprawling English country estate. He quietly tends to a world where natural law presides and mankind comes only if invited. But when armed killers invade his sanctuary in search of the truth, they get more than they bargained for – and Brock finds himself forced to hunt a prey more cunning and lethal than anything in the wild.
