Chris reports from Montreal
More memories from the Tribers – here is our friend Chris with his Madonna experience in Montréal.
“Hi everyone, I know I’m late and the Confessions Tour is right now in Boston but I didn’t want to let pass the chance to share with you my experience in Montreal, so here it is.
I’ve seen Madonna live 3 times in my life, one in Mexico’s city with her Girlie Show tour, second in Toronto with the Re-Invention Tour and now in Montreal with her Confessions Tour, now let me tell ya ain’t better excuse to take a trip to another country than to see Madonna live, the ultimate experience! So in short, as soon as we knew (my bf and me) about this new tour we started to plan the trip, first the concert tickets, which we bought thru the Icon presale, then the plane and hotel reservation, having all of these ready we head on to Montreal and what a lovely trip it was.
First let me tell you how much I love Canada, the people is friendly, the men are gorgeous, just plain drop dead gorgeous, we walked all week long and enjoyed our stay with all the street festivities and cool stores, I bought an iPod video which’s filled with Madonna videos by now and also we had the chance to buy the “I’m Going To Tell You A Secret” documentary as well.
Now the great deal: the concert! Canada was crazy over Madonna, not only because of the adds and window displays on downtown but because of the people, outside the Bell Centre there were lots of fans singing Madonna songs, radio stations helding Madonna contests on the venue to win Madonna’s Secret (I won a copy for free of Secret, I sang “Sorry” to win it) and the overall feeling was like a big party!
As soon as we got inside the arena we rushed up to buy the tourbook, it’s beautiful! but you already know about that, we also bought a ton of stuff, t-shirts, keychains, posters, hats, mugs, buttons, etc, you name it be bought it! lol anyways, while walking on the halls of the Bell Centre we noticed a girl dressed with Madonna’s leotard, she looked hot and she was so cool!
I don’t have words to describe how great the Confessions Tour is, it has everything you’d expect from Madonna and more, it was sexy, daring, excentric, touching, moving..a total journey, she works for the money and she never dissapoints, as for me the highlight of the show is “Live To Tell”, I got chills down my spine with that performance, other high points were “Music” – it’s all about the rollerskating – “Like A Virgin” with the dancing pole STUNNING! I could go on forever but that’s not the point, in short it was amazing and I’m ready fr the next tour anyday!
Last but not least, the same day of the concert in the morning we found out about Madonna‘s hotel location and thought “we should go and take a pic of us outside her hotel” but to our surprise there were hundreds of fans already gathered there, we waited like 4 hours stra8 and it pay off, to close my report here’s the picture I took of her leaving her hotel, the cherry on our icecream!”
Thanks to Chris.
