Chris talks way into Madonna’s affections
Any lad who has ever dreamed of being in bed with Madonna could do worse than come from Leeds.
The Queen of Pop loves the way lads from the city sound. Madonna made the revelation during an interview with Radio 1 breakfast show host and proud Loiner Chris Moyles. She told him: “I’m very attracted to your Leeds accent. I think it’s charming.”
Madge urged him to exaggerate his Tyke tones, saying: “Go broad, baby.”
And when the DJ warned that if he did she might struggle to keep up, she laughingly shot back: “I understand every word you’re saying. Speak to me!”
Madonna’s flirtatious encounter with Moyles, who grew up in Temple Newsam, happened backstage at Wednesday night’s Brit Awards.
In 2003 the 47-year-old superstar said she is a big fan of Timothy Taylor’s bitter, brewed in Keighley.
She also chose a carpet made in Dewsbury for the nursery of her daughter, Lourdes, and has used prams built by famous Leeds firm Silver Cross.
