Emotional Madonna
MadonnaTribe‘s columnist G-Lock is just back from CNN where insiders got together to watch Madonna on Oprah and where he shot his bit for tonight’s “Showbiz Tonight ” (11:00 EST).
G-Lock says: “The interview was extremely heartfelt. Everyone keeps saying ‘emotional‘, but that’s exactly the correct word. M seems genuinely thrown off by the media’s misrepresentations of the adoption process. No talk of music, children’s book, or tours.
The most powerful part is how she equates David’s father with being ‘terrorized‘ by the media. He changed his tune because of the intense scrutiny that came after David left the country. At court, he ‘looked into my eyes‘ and said he was grateful for her commitment to David.
David’s orphange had 500 kids and was totally overwhelmed. Madonna was awed by the extreme poverty of the places she visited and described the horrors and defied anyone who criticized her to visit the country and do something.
