First Tribe report from Coachella
Runawayboy, MadonnaTribe’s team member reporting from Coachella has just sent in his first report. Madonna has ended her rehearsals at 12 noon and she sounded great. Her voice was top form. She rehearsed the new versions of I love New York and Get togther which sounded slightly different from live versions fans have experienced in previous promo tours. While Let it will be is strongly reminiscent of the Paper Faces mix previewed at Koko and G.A.Y. gigs.
The song that really looks like the jem of this new gig is Ray Of Light. Its new arrangement is a little bit slower and starts softly.
A few minutes before mid-day a few hundrend fans were waiting to be let in and singing along with the Queen of Pop rehersing her set inside the Sahara Tent that was just a hundred meters distant.
As we speak the warm up dance music has started to play. The stage features a small catwalk in the middle which is about half the lenght of the one used at Koko. 400 white and blue wristbands have been given to fans that queued outside for hours and to “Madonna’s friends and family”. The audience has been informed that before Madonna starts her show people without a wristband will be asked to leave and then re-enter and positioned on the back of the tent.
Stay tuned to Madonnatribe for live updates from Coachella by our team member Runawayboy attending the Madonna gig.
