Gina’s ”flawless and illuminated skin” look for M
“Madonna’s latest reinvention may hark back to the days of disco, but don’t expect to see glitter and electric blue eye shadow when she hits Madison Square Garden tonight for the third NYC date of her “Confessions Tour” – Maxine Shen writes on the New York Post.
But that doesn’t mean Madge won’t shine – thanks in large part to personal makeup artist Gina Brooke, who’s also the artistic director at cosmetics line Shu Uemura.
She created a “flawless and illuminated skin” look for the 47-year-old singer, beginning with a 25- to 30-minute cleansing and moisturizing process and ending with a mid-set application of custom-made $10,000 false eyelashes – 1 carat’s worth of real diamonds and mink hairs.
“I wanted to create a natural look – and it’s absolutely something that the average woman can wear every day,” Brooke says.
