”I Want You” in the new Massive Attack collection out on Monday
“Collected“, an anthology album of the work of Massive Attack will be released as a CD + Dual Disc Limited Edition next week.
“I Want You“, the track Massive Attack released with Madonna – is included in the CD side of the Dual Disc (Disc 2).
Originally written by Leon Ware and T-Boy Ross, “I Want You” was originally intended for a solo album by Ware before becoming a hit by Marvin Gaye in 1976.
Nellee Hooper produced the awesome cover of the song released by Madonna and Massive Attack for the “Inner City Blues: A Tribute to Marvin Gaye” compilation.
Their version was also included on Madonna’s 1995 compilation “Something To Remember“.
“I Want You” also got a video treatment, in the forum of the breathtaking black and white clip directed by Earle Sebastian, which remains one of the Madonna visual gems that have not been released commercially so far.
