It feels like heaven! Madonna at Horsens
Here’s what Madonnatribe member and forum moderator Magnus had to say about Madonna’s stop in Horsens Denmark last night:Wow. I’ve actually seen the Queen of Pop live at last, for the very first time. I’m so damn happy right now. It feels like heaven. I arrived in Horsens close to midnight the day before the show, me and my friend got up early in the morning and got in line (we were first in line!). The gates opened at about 6pm and we rushed to the front – and actually got there, left to the main catwalk:
Sorry, I didn’t take any pictures as I didn’t want to risk anything and I’m sure lots of pictures will surface anyway. I got two pictures of the stage the night before, but that’s it.
She spoke a bit during the show and mentioned how she was happy to see so many people with different nationalities together as one. She mentioned a couple of flags she could see from the stage and then said “I need my glasses”. She also said some stuff in Danish and ended it with “that’s the only Danish I know, I’m sure it’s terrible” and laughed it off. She also made everyone repeat these lines after her:
We want peace!
We don’t want war!
Fuck George Bush!
He’s a whore!
We are one!
Let’s have some fun!
All in all, she was in a very good mood. You could tell she was happy. She smiled alot. There were two minor mis-haps during the show; 1) not catching the cowboy hat (she missed it two times!) and 2) she stumbled over a baloon on the catwalk during Hung Up, laughed it off and kicked it away. They also had problems with the giant disco ball before the show. Madonna had to put on a jacket during Drowned World (I’d say it was about 10-15 degrees celcius, but at least it wasn’t raining), showing that she was human too after all. We all had a blast during Ray Of Light – imagine 85.000 people jumping and waving their hands in the air! I’m quite sure she enjoyed it too! The crowd was great in my opinion, although I could only judge by looking at the crowd closest to the stage being close to the stage myself. The people way back in the audience was like small dots and I don’t even think they saw what happened on the video screens. As for her vocals, they were great – considering she’s been on tour for quite some time now.
Probably the best night of my life!
