Madonna by William Fox-Pitt
This weeks Horse and Hound magazine features an interview with Madonna‘s riding coach, William Fox-Pitt. He reveals that she is determined to become a good rider, and has taken a shining to his horse Moon Man. The horse, which carried William to victory in the British Open last year, could be featured in “Madonna’s next movie” according to the article. The story also states that as well as riding lessons for pleasure, Madonna took skating lessons for the Sorry video.
Fox-Pitt doesn’t know the name of Madonna’s latest CD, and isn’t a huge fan of the Queen of Pop. He says this is probably key to their working together, as he’s not going to go weak at the knees. However, he was a little star struck at first.
“If I tell her to do something, she says: ‘Well, show me. Show me where my legs should be‘, and it’s quite bizarre. At first I honestly didn’t know which bit of her leg I should grab”.
“William and Madonna are getting on very well and have been meeting and riding,” said a spokesperson for Fox-Pitt Eventing Club.
Madonna is a keen horsewoman, despite suffering a broken hand, ribs and collarbone in the riding accident last year. Her meetings with Fox-Pitt have inspired her to plan a three-day event course at her Wiltshire country estate and she is hoping to attend Badminton in May.
