Madonna donates portrait to support the Tony Farrow Appeal
G-A-Y will be hosting a raffle and one of the prizes is a totally amazing portrait of Madonna signed by her and donated from her private collection.
It’s all for an amazing cause, the Tony Farrow Appeal.
Tony Farrow 40, was a police sergeant in the Metropolitan Police Service. He had done this job for over 8 years. Unfortunately approximately eight months ago Tony was diagnosed with cancer of the lung and was admitted to hospital. Treatment for this type of cancer was expensive and initially not available on the National Heath Service. Police officers from Marylebone police station took it upon themselves to try and fund this pioneering treatment and successfully raised enough funds to cover the first treatment schedule. The NHS then agreed to fund the rest of the trial. This appeal was initially set up to help fund the cost of Tony’s treatment, however in April 2006 Tony died from his disease.
Tony Farrow left behind his Wife Carron and two young children, Holly 9, and Ross 16. Ross is autistic and in need of constant care and assistance, leaving now only Carron to provide this.
Many businesses and celebrities’ have helped up with our appeal, donating their time and possessions in order for the officers of Marylebone to help raise funds for the family.
All the money raised from this raffle and the other auctions will go directly to the Tony Farrow’s appeal and will in turn be passed on to the family in an attempt to provide them with some security over the coming months.
