Madonna in the Billboard Charts this week
PierPinto brings you the usual closer look at how the new Madonna album and single did in the Billboard Charts last week (Issue dated February 25-2006).
The week after Madonna’s Grammys performance “Hung Up” goes up from #64 to #48 in the Hot 100 Singles. Downloads were 19,606 (+36%) last week, and the track goes up from #44 to #26 in the Hot Digital Songs. The maxi-single sells 1,383 phisical copies (+32%) and drops from #3 to #4 in the Hot 100 Singles Sales.
Total Downloads=520,651
Total Singles=32,378
“Sorry” spends its second week at #1 in the Hot Dance Airplay and goes up ten places entering the Top Ten in the Hot Dance Club Play.
Downloads were 1,748 (+68%), last week, not enough to enter the Hot 50 Digital Songs chart yet.
Total Downloads=17,911.
“Confessions” goes up to #59 in the Billboard Top 200 Albums as previously reported.
