Madonna in the Billboard Charts this week
Pierpinto brings you the usual closer look at how the new Madonna album and single did in the Billboard Charts (Issue dated March 18-2006), with “Sorry” being the best selling single in the US last week.
“Sorry” goes up from #70 to #58 in the Hit 100 Singles this week.
Downloads were 11,651 (-10%), making the track go down from #56 to #60 in the Hot Digital Songs.
The song also reaches #1 in the Hot 100 Singles Sales selling 5,103 copies (+316%), single sales and maxi single digital downloads included.
“Sorry” also goes up to #1 in the Hot Dance Club Play adding another song to Madonna’s sensational collections of dance anthems.
Sorry Total Downloads=51,536.
Sorry Total Sales=7,323 (physical and Digital Maxi Sales).
“Hung Up” goes down from #54 to #74 in the Hot 100 Singles in its 20th week in the chart. Downloads were 13,913 (-22%) last week, and the track goes down from #32 to #44 in the Hot Digital Songs.”Hung Up” also goes up from #10 to #9 in the Hot 100 Singles Sales with 925 copies sold.
Hung Up Total Downloads=573,309
“Confessions” goes up to #53 in the Billboard Top 200 Albums as previously reported and also gets back to #1 in the Top 10 Electronic Albums chart.
