Madonna nominated at the 2006 Echo Awards

Madonna has a nomination in the “Best Female Artist (Pop/Rock)” category at this year’s German music awards “Echo“.

The full line up of contenders include Enya, Madonna, Katie Melua, Shakira and
Gwen Stefani.

The Echo is one of the biggest music awards in the world – together with the Grammy and the Brit Awards. More nominations will be revealed soon, there are still chances for Madonna to have some more in different categories such as “Download Song of the year” or “Single of the year”.

The Echo-Awards ceremony will be held on March 12th, 2006 in Berlin.
Madonna has been nominated seven times so far (including this year’s one) and won the award once, back in 1996.
