As soon as I saw the “Have you Confessed?” on TV, I felt obligated to confess my experience of the special that aired tonight.
I must email you as a fan and express my feeling towards the NBC Concert special that aired tonight November 22nd, 2006.
First of all… way TOO many commercials, I cannot wait till the DVD comes out so I can see it non-stop.
The fact that they had told us that they were only going to cut out
the crucifixion part is a pure lie. We were
left out with the “Sorry” interlude, “Drowned World”, “Paradise”, and “Lucky
Star”. It really bothered me that there was a commercial after each single song. So we only got to hear two songs one after the
other very little. It was a commercial after each song. I am so pissed off that they cut out the “Sorry” interlude. That was
one of my favorite parts of the show.
They also beeped out the cursed words, but that was to be expected, and did not bother me as much. I hate that NBC would edit out some of the songs from the tour, they were all equally amazing.
I do have to say that it was an amazing night tonight, being able to relive my experience at the Confessions Tour.
I got chills once I heard the intro to “Future Lovers”.
The quality of video that it was recorded in was spectacular.
I just wish that NBC would have given us all the concert, without commercials, or at least with a limited amount of commercials.
I hope the DVD comes out soon. Other than that, this concert special was truly amazing.

Saw the show in Chicago – absolutely awesome! I had no idea this special was airing on tv and came about it by fluke the last 15 minutes!
It made my Thanksgiving weekend!
• From Michael:
I have followed Madonna since “Lucky Star” and “Borderline” were racing up the charts. I have been a loyal fan, always. I also remember when “Erotica” came out and how I thought, my GOD, where is Madonna going with all this.
Never the less, “Erotica” was a very hot hot song. I have played the many remixes in my car, till all I could hear were the repetitive Erotic.. Erotic …vocals.
When I saw Madonna perform her “Erotica” song during her Confessions Tour this past Summer in Chicago, it took my breath away.
When I saw it again on NBC tonight, it took my breath away once again.
To the woman we all love…
Madonna you thrill us…

I just wanted to share some things about the Confessions NBC special. The “Live To Tell” cross scene was cut and replaced by images of orphaned children with the ticker at the bottom of the screen. Madonna’s singing you can still hear in the background of this sequence. “Sorry” interlude was cut as well as “Drowned World/Substitute For Love”, “Paradise(Not For Me)” and “Lucky Star”. The sound was amazing and they did a good job of editing and adding special effects(speeding up and slowing down certain sequences). It’ll be better to see it uncut, if it’s released on DVD.
• From Justin:
I had a chance to watch the Confessions Tour on NBC last night. Madonna’s
performance was incredible, but NBC’s wasn’t. At the most, there was two
songs, then a commercial break. You couldn’t get into the show that way.
I didn’t mind the editing of “Live to Tell” as much as I thought I would, but what really bugged me was after the commercial break after “Let It Will Be”, “Music Inferno” came right on. I was crushed. No “Paradise”, and no “Drowned World”.
Then, if that wasn’t bad enough, they skipped right over “Lucky Star”.
The parts they did show were amazing and it was great to see it again, but I wish they had included those parts and had less commercials.
I can’t wait for the DVD.
