Madonna’s airplay down under
Non-single Madonna tracks from the “Confessions On A Dance Floor” sessions are been played by Nova 96.9, one of Sydney‘s biggest radio stations.
Nova has been airing “Jump” for a long time now, and the song is currently heard almost everyday.
They also play “Superpop” once or twice a week. “Super Pop” is one of the three songs Madonna recorded and that were not included for the final track list.
This is what Stuart Price himself told Australian music journalist Cameron Adams about the leftover tracks from the album in a recent interview:
“There’s “Fighting Spirit“, one called “History“, one called “Superpop“.
They were all in the pot to be on the album, but they didn’t fit in with the idea of an hour-long car-tape mix.”
We now know that “Fighting Spirit” ended up as the bonus track of the Special Edition of the album, and “Superpop” was released as a digital bonus track for members of the official Madonna fanclub, Icon. The rest is… “History”
