Making the world a better place
On her interview with Meredith Vieira to air this week on NBC there’s also a trip down memory lane bringing us back to 1984, when Madonna told Dick Clark she wanted “to rule the world“. Vieira asked the Queen of Pop if she thinks she still wants to conquer the world…
“Well, I wouldn’t say I want to conquer the world anymore” – Madonna tells Viera in her interview – “But I still want to be a part of making the world a better place. I want to inspire people and I want to be part of the solution. So.”
Meredith Vieira asked Madonna if there was
a time when she was part of the problem, and Madonna answers:
“I think anybody that goes through life and doesn’t ask questions and goes through the flow and is a sheep and doesn’t think outside the box is part of the problem.
I think we all have been part of the problem.
And you know, whenever I go back into my box, I judge people too without getting information, I’m part of the problem.
So that’s my goal I think: To be less part of the problem and more part of the solution.”
