Miami memories by Ryan
Thanks to M-Triber reader Ryan who wants to share a few stories with the Tribe about his recent trip to Miami to see Madonna and her “Confessions Tour”.
“I attended the first night (7/22) in Miami. I had amazing seats, the last row in the front-left floor section, a perfect spot to see the middle catwalk stage. As has been reported, Gloria Estefan, her husband and daughter, and Christopher Ciccone were seated directly behind me in the same row. Gloria was extremely kind to all her fans, signing many autographs and posing for many pictures. She also stayed all the way through the show to the last number… a considerate gesture to Madonna.
Before the show started, I noticed Guy Oseary and Ingrid Casares walking toward me. I yelled, “Hey! There’s Guy and Ingrid.” Ingrid shot me a small yet friendly smile, and much to my surprise, Guy Oseary walked over to me, shook my hand, and asked me my name. I was shocked at how friendly he was to me, a total insane stranger.
I also know that while in Miami, Madonna stayed at ai hotel on South Beach. How do I know this? As my friend and I were walking to the beach Sunday around 3:00 pm, we were randomly on the sidewalk next to the hotel, and we saw a police-escorted motorcade of two black SUVs and a black towncar. I knew instinctively that I just saw Madonna and crew driving to the arena to get ready for Sunday’s show. I later wanted to confirm my suspicions, so I asked a worker at the hotel if Madonna was staying there, and he said, “Yes, she was.” If only I had been prepared when I saw her towncar… I would have thrown my limp body in front of the car!!! LOL.”
