Moscow police say no to concert venue

A further development on the Moscow concerts, as reported by Interfax.

Moscow law enforcement services believe that Tushino Airfield is the only venue suitable for Madonna’s concert in the Russian capital, city police spokesman Viktor Biryukov told Interfax on Friday. Biryukov, however, did not confirm media reports claiming that the Moscow authorities had banned Madonna’s concert at Vorobyovy Gory.

“The issue is being discussed. However, the opinion of the city authorities is leaning toward organizing the popular singer’s performance in Tushino,” he said.
