”Pop Confessions”: The incredible story of the biggest living myth
“Pop Confessions” is a new essai about the Queen of Pop written by Daniel Ichbiah.
This French writer, journalist and musician has publshed fifty books so far covering almost every aspect of music, the world of rock, the mp3 revolution, the use of computers in the process of creating music, digital photography, the internet, the world of videogames and robots.
His latest French book is coming out these days and is also available to purchase online on every major French retailer such as Amazon.fr and Fnac.com.
Here’s an overlook of this new interesting biography where Daniel himself explains why Madonna is the biggest living myth.
You can also read an excerpt from the third chapter of the book – “Disco Girl“, in French by clicking here.
“Since the end of 2005, Madonna is at the same position as Elvis. As him, she had 38 singles in the American Top 10. Better than the Beatles or Michael Jackson. The young girl of a poor origin made it to the top and
built a public love which goes beyond analysis. One does not like Madonna: one worships her, fears her, hates her… Indifference is not possible for the one who goes to the end of her phantasms, follies and passions.
To conquer the world, Madonna used all of her woman assets: sex, glamour, light… Amazing as a dancer, she
managed to develop her talents as a singer, actor, songwriter… Untirable, she had her musical partners sweating to follow her needs. She also distinguished herself by an uncomparable capacity to change her
appearance, going happily from one character to another : bitchy girl, distinguised top model, absolute queen of the dancefloors.
Before all, she could force destiny in a thousand ways, making the resistance of producers as well as presidents of nations melt through her personal charm.
Madonna also was a lover of multiple faces : captivating, provoking, sometimes also profoundly in love with her object of desire. She was the companion of Warren Beatty, John John Kennedy or Sean Penn before finding the man of her life. The saga of her life is the one of an incredible succession of loving fevers outside of the common.
Madonna is the biggest living myth. The only personality with an aura comparable to Marilyn, Humphrey Bogard or Greta Garbo.
The story told in these pages is comparable to her legend: mad, daring, heart-beating, exciting…
