MadonnaTribe friend and community member ptdancerpt managed to see the rehearsal show last night, and here’s what she has to say about it:

“She was beautiful you guys, just simply amazing. When the woman is dancing, she is giving her all. When she is singing… wow. She sounded sooooooooooo strong confident and just mesmerizing. The costumes were simple, but beautiful, accenting all her assests if you know what I mean! And yes, the John Travolta costume just ROCKED!!!!!!!!

The songs are rather mixed, all of them. Very fun. “Sorry” looks much like the video. They roller skate all over the place, and FAST! Those guys learned quickly! Very impressive. And yes, the WHOLE fight scene is in there. Live to Tell, yep, the cross, the thorns, it’s all there. She is actually lying down on it, and it rises up from the floor. Then, towards the end, the platform that she is standing on, lowers down and she steps off it. Then she goes into Forbidden Love, and two of the male dancers do a VERY cool hand chorography dance like holding hands and showing affection to each other. She is singing, and goes up to the cross and sings Once upon a time, There was a boy and there was a girl, Hearts that intertwine, They lived in a different kind of world. Very much in your face.

OHHHHHHHHH!!!!!! Like a Virgin! Yes, she rides what looks very similar to a carousel horse, but it’s just the saddle. VERY S & M!!!!!!!!! I love it! For Jump, the dancers are Jumping EVERYWHERE and a second catwalk descends from the ceiling that has some bars and things that they jump over. Speaking of catwalks…. the two smaller catwalks are VERY TALL! Sooooooooo hard to see anything from the floor if you are right under them. That was a bummer. BUT, nice that they go right into the audience. She spends a LOT of time on the main catwalk, and goes to the 2nd stage about 4 or 5 times. Like It Or Not, she sings almost the entire thing on that second stage with a chair.

Drowned World/Subsitute For Love… all she does is sit on the stage on the stairs and sings it. Great if you are right there in the corner. Paradise Not For Me is also a duet, but she just plays the guitar and they sit center stage. Mostly live, but some of the robotic voice in there.

She does the duet with Isaac, who BTW plays a indiginous horn at the beginnging of Isaac. VERY cool to have the live chanting. And it’s different from the album. Video scenes are very cool, especially for Sorry into I Love New York. OH! Mihran and Hipnosis actually RUN INTO the audience for one of the dance breaks! Reminded me of Coldplay kind of! Hung Up ends the show, with a gold mylar balloon drop, and of course we managed to get some of those!!!!!!

For Lucky Star, she wears a white cape that says dancing queen on the back in pink, with disco balls on the inside that light up. Let It Will Be IS FIERCE!!!!!!!!! As always, I might add. TOTALLY grabbed her crotch, it was great!! Didn’t take anyones hands, but hopefully that will change. The audience was BORING!!!!!!!!! She kept asking if we were having a good time, and if we were awake yet! THREATENED to make us pay for our tickets next time! hehehehe!
