Montreal pictures by Lisa
Our friend Lisa has just got back from Montreal yesterday evening and sent some photos she took while there to share with the tribe.
“I stayed outside Madonna‘s hotel on Wednesday from 10am-2pm, but it wasn’t until 3:30 when she finally came out. I was so upset that I missed her since I was positioned right by the tree, at the stairs into the hotel. The cops came around 1pm and set up the red tape. I joked around with one of them, telling him he could tie it around my wrists, he laughed.
When I got there at 10, there were only about 10 people outside and I spoke with some of the photographers who had been there since 5:30am. CBC news was there and I was interviewed a couple times, first by a local new show and then a local radio station. It was a blast!
In one of the pictures, you can see one of Madonna’s dancers. She turned around just before I could catch the front of her, so I got her back. She was pretty cool and seemed to enjoy the crowd.
To tell you the truth, there weren’t near enough posters, banners or billboards up around the downtown, not even the Bell centre had a poster! They were all so excited about the Grand Prix that they didn’t put much effort into promoting her!
The only posters were at the HMV and La Senza held a special Madonna event that day. I sent you the photo of the pamphlets they handed out and I’m sending you the photo I took of inside the La Senza store. It was a really cool and fun idea they had.”
Thanks to Lisa aka Triber HO4MO.
