“Back in May I’ve read an article that said “Madonna will visit Russia for the first time with her new tour “Confessions” – M-Tribe reader Dimitri writes.

“I went crazy! I’ve been waiting until the official announcement and saved a lot of money for ticket! Then I found out that my parents wanted to go to Spain so I had to make a decision… Now, after all, I can say: “I will never regret what I chose”!

As you can understand, I chose to see Madonna! I bought a ticket to the gold section which was a little bit far from stage but I could see the whole show as a big construction of art, music, special effects etc…

So I went to Moscow to see the show…”

About the show
“As we were waiting in line to get in stadium, we heard Madonna rehearsing Like A Virgin and Jump! It was so cool!

When we came in, we had a nice surprise! It was around 6:00 pm, Madonna was on stage checking on different things and when she said something, everybody started to scream like crazy and she noticed it and said to us: “Time goes by so slowly“! It was soooo cool! Everybody was screaming!

Paul Okeanfold was cool and he even played some Russian songs for us!
Madonna descended from a giant disco ball around 9:30 p.m! They made a perfect choice with Future Lovers because this music puts you in the right mood and you are mesmerized by Madonna!

It was the first time I saw her! I will never forget this feeling! Everytime she sang, I was just stuck watching her and moving my body in the rhythm of the music.

And everytime she went backstage I was in reality againand felt like it was just a dream…. But then she appears again… It’s an unexplainable feeling!
I Feel Love was perfect!! Everybody liked it!

After few songs Madonna said : “Hello Russia! Are you ready to ride with me? I said – are you ready to ride with me?” The audience went wild…!!!
People liked Live To Tell and Sorry (Interlude), everybody paid attention and it was very moving… Especially after the writing appeared “Is anyone listening?”

Whe she sat down after Let It Will Be she said:

“Cheers! Hello Russia! Are you having a good time? I’ve been in this strange business called “show business” for more than 20 years and it’s always been my dream to come to Russia and I’m really honoured to be here… I’m glad that you are happy to see me, especially Mer Luzhkov (mayor of Moscow)!”

(Everybody laughed)

“Russia is a democratic country for almost 15 years now! Woo-Hoo! (Everydody cheered)! You have a freedom and you have to take advantage of this, ok? America is supposed to be free but people don’t make right decisions…”

“After this before Drowned World she said “We want peace, no more war, right?”

Everybody yelled! And then she made a surprise by singing a song (Give Peace a Chance by John Lenon) with her dancers, singers and band together! I think it was the first time she’s done on her tour!

She did her “Walk the Walk, Talk the Talk” speech as well before Like It Or Not!

People really liked Like a Virgin, La Isla Bonita, Sorry and Hung Up!
The show was amazing and it’s the first time when Moscow (Russia) saw a show on such a professional level! It was awesome!

And Hung Up was a killer! Now – THE WHOLE STADIUM was jumping and dancing!
I didn’t notice any mistaked or problems during the concert!

About the audience
In my section there were only around 10 people who were dancing all the time! Others were watching on their seats!

Some people left during the middle of the show but It was probably because they didn’t want to be a part of a huge crowd afterwards running to the subway.

Our stupid organizers did a huge mistake which I’m afraid is going to have an affect!

They’ve changed the venue right before the concert and printed more tickets… And in few days before concert people did not have time to buy all of them and so: There were a lot of seats without people – the show was not SOLD OUT! I’m upset because I heard that Madonna is a bit disappointed! She liked a concert but did not like the fact that it wasn’t SOLD OUT in such a big country! Besides she probably knows that some people left during the show! Stupid fuckers! (Sorry)!

Only fans near the stage showed her our love and support! But I’m afraid that she won’t visit us again with her tour!
I can imagine when artist (especially Madonna) sees a lot of seats with no people…

But Madonna moved me and touched my heart! I’m kind of depressed right now because I don’t want this to end! This experience is a part of my life now! And it’s like you live somewhere for a long time and then you have to leave…
I wish I could go to see her shows in Japan but I can’t!

I seriously say: “September, 12, 2006 was the best day in my life so far!”
I’m happy that I saw Confessions Tour Live because I love Madonna and disco too 🙂
I hope to see her next time on her next tour!

My feelings are mixed, it’s hard to explain!
Thank you, Madonna! Thank you for the best night in my life!
