”Sorry” remixes available on iTunes
With a perfect timing to the release of the video today, the brand new remixes for Madonna’s next single “Sorry” have been made available for legal download on iTunes.
Here’s a nice review of the different versions courtesy of our team member and expert Magnus.
• Radio Version: You all know this one. Well edited, even better than the album version in my opinion.
• Man With Guitar Mix: Awesome extended version with a new bassline melody, but still remains true to the original. It reminds me of the Jellybean Dance Mixes of the 80’s!
• Pet Shop Boys Maxi-Mix: The “worst” remix out of all the official ones, still not bad. It sounds like an unfinished project (it could have been so much better). Then again, anyone who has heard their song Flamboyant will know what I’m talking about when I say this remix sounds a bit rushed.
• Paul Oakenfold Mix: Like Stuart’s own mix, this one is only built around the powerful chorus and the spoken parts. It’s got a nice trance-y vibe to it. It sounds amazingly fresh, unlike his remix of Hollywood back in 2003 (which was more or less a carbon copy of the Sasha Mix of Ray Of Light from 1998). This is actually the first time I really enjoyed a mix by Paul for Madonna.
• Green Velvet Mix: I’d rank it the second best mix after Stuart’s. It’s electro, very reminiscent of Riton’s treatment of Kylie’s Giving You Up. They played around with the vocals a bit. It’s a very groovy tune. The bassline will get you hooked in no time. It’s very retro.
Thanks to Magnus.
