Stage setting differences in Cardiff
Our team member Runawayboy has sent us his first report from Cardiff, about the differences there are between the stage setting in the Millennium Stadium and previous concerts in arenas.
The main stage is about 3 meters high, while the catwalk is about 2 meters, quite high for those who have the luck to be front row. The stage also includes the two side catwalks – but they are on the same level of the main stage, therefore they differ from the ones used in arenas so far that were set at a higher level than the main stage.
There’s a rig structure hung up to the stadium’s roof – all the equipments used in the show are suspended on that, just like it happened in arenas so far – including the disco ball. This has been made possible by the fact that the Millennium Stadium has its retractable roof closed – the question about how this will work in venues that have no roof above is still to be solved – rendez-vous to August 6th in Rome for this matter.
Thanks to Runawayboy reporting from Cardiff.
