And here’s another cool detail from yesterday night’s broadcast – which shows how rich and elaborate the editing of the Confessions Tour is, and how much post-production marvel is behind it.

It’s no secret that at the end of her “Jump” performance Madonna leaves the stage through a trap door placed in the first half of the central stage – the same device that lets her sneak into the mirrorball before it opens during “Future Lovers”.

That trap door is used quite a few times during the show. Madonna makes a surprise entrance during “Isaac” – appearing at the middle of the arena while all the crowd’s attention is captured by Isaac and Sofia performing on the main stage. Also, the dancers disappear through the trap door at the end of “Ray of Light”, Hypnosis comes out from there for his “Confessions” and Steve and Norman pop out during “La Isla Bonita”, the boombox comes out from nowhere during “Hung Up”, and so on.

Well, it looks like that Madonna and Jonas Akerlund took the idea of “disappearing through the floor” a bit too literally, as in the TV broadcast you have seen that te area of the mouse trap has been digitally altered and the floor has been “expanded” to completely fill the gap around Madonna’s body – and she is seen actually passing through the floor seemlessly. Supernatural!
