The Garden gets ready for The Queen
M-Tribe Community member and contributor from New York City DyeAnotherDay reports in with the latest from the Madison Square Garden – where he went back today to see how the arena is getting ready for the Queen of Pop.
“It is very hot and sticky in New York. I think we might have some thundershowers during Madonna’s concerts.
Madonna’s crew has arrived at the Garden. The area around the Garden is bustling with activity. There are semi-trucks all along 33rd St. and along 8th Ave.
There are dozens of crew members swarming around the area – all in black and wearing laminated passes. Security is tight and nobody’s allowed to take pictures of what happens around.
There is a gigantic satellite dish on 8th Ave. This could be either used as a feed for news reports. This could also conceivably used if they broadcast any NYC show for HBO. That had a separate Garden crew and they had the NBC logo on their tee-shirts. I’m not sure what the connection is. But the sattelite dish did not have a logo on it – only the crew for it.
That’s all I can think of right now. It’s roasting hot in New York.
They were playing “I Love New York” out front.”
Special thanks to DyeAnotherDay.
