The new Digital Singles chart debuts in Italy

Italy finally has its own official chart for music legally downloaded from the net.

Compiled by Fimi/Nielsen, the new chart collects data from Apple ITunes Italy, Connect Italy, the 105 and 105 Classic megastores, the Coca Cola Music Store, MSN Music Club Italy, MTV Digital Downloads Italy, the Radio Montecarlo Megastore, Tiscali Italy and United Music Megastore with more italian music platforms to be added in the future, and hopes to to able to include data about cell-phones downloads as well.

Madonna does very well in the new chart, with ““Sorry” at #3 and “Hung Up” at #18.
