Today, 16 years ago, Blond Ambition in Rome

Here’s another Tribe corner in which we like to commemorate another event in Madonna history. 16 years ago, Madonna performed for the first and only time in Rome so far at the Stadio Flaminio. Her controversial Blond Ambition show was being criticized and attacked by Catholic groups looking for free publicity but the main cause for the show not being a sold out date was the fact tickets came on sale just a couple of weeks prior to the event.
