“OMG! I don’t even know where to begin!
Montreal was WILD!!! The entire city was obsessed with Madonna! Stores decorated their windows with Madonna displays, and one store even hired dancers to dance in their windows to Madonna remixes!
As for the show itself, the crowd LOVED her!!!
For the June 21st show I was Row B (Row 2) on the Floor, but when I got to the seat I asked the security guy if he minded if I rushed the stage and he said he didn’t care! So I ended up in BETTER than Front Row! I was standing right in front of the steps that lead from the stage to the runway! I couldn’t believe it, I was freaking out!
The show as incredible! Madonna was stunning and the crowd was going nuts! My feet/legs were very VERY sore the next day because I was jumping so much throughout the entire show!
My energy and enthusiasm paid off because Madonna noticed me and sang to me and pointed at me several times. During Ray of Light she kept singing to me, and she pointed at me once while singing! I didn’t take photos during ROL because I was too busy jumping and dancing (Madonna wanted to see everyone in the audience jumping and dancing) but I got a photo of her looking at me during I Love New York
The best BEST was during Hung Up! When the balloons feel from the ceiling, one landed on the runway near me, and Madonna picked it up and SHE HANDED IT TO ME!!! Yes, HANDED it to me, not threw it, not kicked it, HANDED IT! I couldn’t believe it!!!
Before Drowned World, Madonna stopped to talk to the audience, saying she’s sorry it took her so long to come back to Montreal (the last time was in 1993 for Girlie Show) and at one point she said something like I have French-Canadian blood in me (Madonna’s Mom was French-Canadian) and the crowd when WILD screaming and cheering!
Honestly, I can’t get over how INSANE the crowd was all night! The BEST part is that the audience seemed to know every song from COADF! They all went especially crazy screaming loudly during Get Together, Jump, Sorry, Forbidden Love, Isaac, I Love New York, and of course, Hung Up. When Madonna did the tease of Hung Up at the end of Lucky Star I thought my eardrums would burst from how loud the screams were! Of course the audience wents nuts for the older songs too, but it was awesome and exciting that they all knew the new stuff as well! I guess I shouldn’t have been surprised though since the album spent something like 20 weeks in the Top 10 here in Canada. I expected the crowd to go nuts for Hung Up, Sorry, and Get Together, but it was so cool that they got just as excited for the non-singles!
For the second concert on June 22, I was Section 102 Row A which was directly in front of the side stage where she performs Like A Virgin. Front Row was AMAZING for connecting with Madonna, but this seat was fantastic for seeing the show as a whole while still getting up-close-and-personal with Madonna for a few performances! I don’t know if it’s possible, but I think the crowd was even more wild and even more loud than on the first night! Again everyone cheered for all the same songs I previously mentioned, and entire place seemed to be singing along with Madonna when she asked us to sing time goes by, so slowly during the finale. Madonna chatted with the audience a lot again before DW, and even held the hands with some girls in the front who shouted that they camped out overnight for tickets. Madonna grabbed their hands and told them she loves them for it, and then went on to talk to the crowd some more .
Overall, it’s FANTASTIC show and Madonna dances her ass off, especially during Music I got tired from just watching her! I don’t know how she does it!!!
There were a few couple bad moments for me though, a little bit of drama.
Anyway, other than two minor incidents, I had a blast! Confessions Tour is an AMAZING show and I can’t understand anyone who says otherwise! As for the people judging it without seeing it, this is definitely one show you have to see live in person in order to appreciate it! Madonna’s energy is amazing, and there’s so much going on at all times between Madonna herself, the dancers, the screens, the props, and the three runways that you don’t know where to look! The entire show is like an orgasm for your eyes!
Hmm, I think this has gone on long enough so I’ll cut it off here. I’ll end off by saying that friends of mine from NYC who saw the tour in LA and in Chicago came to the June 22 show and said that the Montreal had the loudest wildest crowd out of all the shows that they saw! I hate to admit it, but I think Montreal‘s crowd was even more wild than Toronto‘s crowd during Reinvention Tour! ”
