Update: ‘Get Together” in the UK chart

Thanks to M-Tribe reader Seb for sharing this interesting update about how “Get Together” is doing in the UK charts and how fans can support Madonna’s new single.

“Popbitch have Madonna going top 10 with Kasabian charting higher than her and Shakira returning to the No 1 spot in the UK singles chart this week.

This is of course correct info, but with 3 days to go things may still turn around. Sure the press machine will kick in over the next few days for the first gig, “Get Together” is bound to be used on this Fridays’s Big Brother eviction show and radio are behid it and likely to keep pushing as we approach the Cardiff gig, and of course Madonna has been very quiet – uncharacteristic in the week of release albeit that she deserves the rest!

So there’s still a chance to turn this around and get Madonna her her first three-consecutive-number-1s in the UK if fans who haven’t yet bought the single(s) buy it before Sunday.

Shouldn’t take too much of an effort with so few single sales/downloads necessary for a high placing on chart nowadays.”
