”Would you like me to move to Montreal?”
Thanks to M-Tribe reade Jen for sending in her report and sharing these pictures from the “Confessions Tour” in Montréal.
“I absolutely loved it.
I really would not know where to even begin. I was sitting on the floor right next to the center catwalk stage so when she came down in a disco ball I was shocked to see that it landed right in front of me. We
were able to see her veins, and the look of total concentration that took over her face. She was so beautiful and her body! I mean, could we discuss how gorgeous she looks for a 47 year old!?
She warmed up to the audience very much during the second show, and although I read of some complaints regarding the sound as she spoke, I was able to hear pretty much everything she said.
During any concert that I have ever been to, whether it be U2/Madonna/INXS, whenever there is talking it can sometimes be hard to understand if the crowd is going wild. Its not that the sound system is horrible. I thought everything sounded great.
Her voice was spectacular. She danced and sang the whole night. True to her word, she turned the stage into one big dance floor and i felt like I was invited
to party with her.
My favorites were “La Isla Bonita” (screen effects and dancing=Beautiful), “Erotica” (dancing=Beautiful), her
rendition of Saturday Night Fever/”Music” was awesome…
what a party!
“Hung Up” was amazing… she did not get
upset with anyone when she asked people to sing along, ill admit that the crowd at that point wasn’t participating – crowd may have been a bit boring, not Madonna. She extended her mic to one side and
encouraged them to sing along, when it wasn’t loud enough, she joked by saying “You Suck“… granted, they did.. so, I laughed.
She said she loved Montreal, and she appreciated the fact that we made her feel very welcome in our city.
She thanked us for coming to her show. She joked with us for a while, asking us if we’d like it if she added another night.
Crowd went completely wild. Then she
asked, “Would you like me to move to Montreal” and of
course the crowd roared with excitement.
She teased us and said she was only kidding and we laughed. She was
great.
As for the comment above that someone else made, regarding “Let it Will Be”, I loved it.. it was one of
my favorites. She didn’t dance with her dancers, instead, she boogied down the catwalk moving in a very animalistic way, she was very expressive and she
looked awesome doing it. I guess it all depends on what type of dancing you expect/enjoy.
To sum up, literally, all of the performances were outstanding! She danced all night long, non-stop, with the exception of 2 songs where she played guitar and
by the way.. Madonna on electric??? She rocked!!!
She was killing that guitar like nobody’s business… this woman is amazing.
I’m happy I got the chance to see her.
Next stop – New York City baby!”
Thanks,
Jen
