12 New English Roses – Update
In December 2006 MadonnaTribe reported that more books were to be released by Madonna in 2007. On April 25 MadonnaTribe reported first to fans that Madonna and illustrator Jeffrey Fulvimari were developing a new line of English Roses books to be released in September 2007.
Now, for the first time on a Madonna news site here’s the first look at the final covers and storylines of the first four new chapters of the Roses’ adventures. The complete new series of the English Roses is made of a total of 12 new books to be released in 2007 and 2008.
As previously reported here, the first four new books are:
• 1) Friends for Life
Learn more about Binah, Nicole, Amy, Charlotte and Grace with “The English Roses: Friends For Life”. Presented in a scrapbook style and featuring fascinating entries by all of girls, this is a must for fans of Madonna’s best-selling series.
• 2) Goodbye, Grace?
Storyline – When Grace’s parents start exhibiting some odd behavior, the Roses put their sleuthing skills to work, and determine that Grace’s family may be moving! Can the Roses’ friendship survive if one of them leaves London?
• 3) The New Girl
Storyline – Nicole is tickled pink when her cool friend from New York, Leslie, moves to London. But the English Roses are less then impressed, especially when Nicole ditches them to perform in the talent show with Leslie. Will Nicole choose Leslie over her four best friends?
• 4) A Rose By Any Other Name
Storyline – Everybody’s buzzing about the Sixth Grade Play, especially the English Roses. When Grace is cast in the role Charlotte wanted, though, the girls’ friendship is thrown for a loop. Is this drama too much for the Roses to handle?
All books will come with some sort of membership card to access features on an accompanying website, www.myenglishroses.net, which has yet to be activated.
The release date is scheduled for September 6 2007 on the Puffin publishing label and suggested retail price for each book in the US is $9.99
A special thanks goes to our friend and contributor Axel Potoms, who enjoys Madonna’s children’s book as much
as we do.
