A history of success for Madonna’s albums in Italy
As M-Tribe anticipated earlier this morning, The Confessions Tour enetered the Italian album chart straight to #1, making her new CD+DVD release the fourth album in a row debuting in the Fimi/Nielsen chart on the top spot.
This is how the Madonna album charted since the introduction of the Fimi chart in March 1995:
Bedtime Stories: #7 (March 4, 1995 – although it was published way before the chart was launched)
Something to Remember: #1 (3 weeks)
Evita: #2 (2 weeks)
Ray of Light: #1 (3 weeks)
Music: #1 (1 week)
GHV2: #7
American Life: #1 (2 weeks)
Confessions on a Dance Floor: #1 (1 week)
I’m Going to Tell You a Secret: #1 (1 week)
The Confessions Tour: #1
