Another fan review of Hey You
More fan reviews of “Hey You” are coming in today. Here’s one from Sirius from Norway
“Dear Madonnatribe, here’s my review of ‘Hey You’:
At the 17th of May I got up to celebrate. Maybe you think it would be the new song from Madonna, but I wasn’t even aware it had been released at this point. Today, is Norway’s national day. We celebrate and participate in lots of parades, dinners, and so on. But of course (as the M-fan I am) I had to take a sneak-peak and see if there was any news on the upcoming new song.
I can simply tell you this: It made me cry. Her voice has never sounded better, and this is one her songs the message is at it’s best! The drums made me even more emotional as it is my country’s national day, and in some ways we celebrate, pray and hope for those things she is singing about! This made it even stronger. The production is so delicate, and I can literally hear hope and faith in her voice, a strong belief that one day we can make it if we want to change. If we want to ‘open our hearts and save someone else’ we can make a difference. This song is very different from her other songs with a strong message. As many of the songs in ‘American Life‘ has a bitter and angry mood, ‘Hey You‘ is focusing on the bright side and what we can achieve if we think positive.
Thank you Madonna, at least you made me hope.
