Madonna‘s 1990 World Tour was called the Blond Ambition Tour. It was NOT called the Blonde Ambition Tour.

The lack on an ‘e‘ on the end of Blond was intentional. In Madonna’s words it was because ‘there’s nothing artificial about me’; a reference to the ‘E-numbers‘ given to artificial colourings and sweetners put into food.

It was also suggested that the masculine spelling of the word reflected Madonna’s stage design, persona and work ethic at the time.
