Better The Devil That You Know

You may have the opinion that Madonna is blasphemous but… you still have to respect the law. This is probably what a judge from
the Netherlands told 63-year old Willem G. from Waardenburg, when he asked for him a
punishment of 150 hours of community service and 4 months in jail.
A few hours before Madonna’s first Confessions Tour show in Amsterdam last year the man called
emergency number 112 telling the operator that 5 bombs were going to explode during the concert.
But Dutch police found out who made the call in time to avoid the emergency evacuation procedures and the huge panic that would have followed that.

The defendant told the judge his actions were due to the fact
that “Madonna performs a satanic act on stage, mocking the Christian faith”.
