David Gurland’s ”Neurotica” returns to NYC on May 20
David Gurland’s critically acclaimed Madonna revue “Neurotica” returns to New York City, to the The Laurie Beechman Theater as part of the DGUR Concert series for one night only as “Madonna Unplugged” on Sunday, May 20, 2007 at 7 PM.
“ Madonna Unplugged” is a tribute show covering twenty of Madonna’s hit songs from the early 80s through the present with many surprises along the way. This performance will be the 4th in a six concert series, which commenced in January of 2007, this version being an acoustic version of David’s hit show “Neurotica“.
David premiered “Neurotica” in May of 2005, when it enjoyed sold out crowds and rave reviews with its unique mergence of rock music and the theatricality of a cabaret show. In addition to the arrangements and musical direction, award winning songwriter/instrumentalist Michael Holland will be lending his beautiful voice to the mix and playing guitar and piano. The show also features Jerry Smith on percussion and vocals.
