Many of Madonna‘s songs have changed names between the writing process and the eventual release. Here are some examples, starting with the most famous:
Spanish Eyes became Pray For Spanish Eyes on all second issues of the Like A Prayer album.
Flirtation Dance became Skin
The Binding Of Isaac became Isaac
Nothing Fails Now became Nothing Fails
The Process became X-Static Process
Substitute For Love became Drowned World/Substitute For Love
I’m Burning Up became Burning Up
Cyber Sadhu became Cyber-Raga
In addition to this – some of her movies have also changed names in the process of their creation too :
Slammer became Who’s That Girl when Madonna couldn’t write a song containing lyrics rhyming with ‘Slammer’.
Snake Eyes became Dangerous Game in most territories.
Vision Quest became Crazy For You outside North America
Deadly Evidence became Body Of Evidence
