Frozen Umbrella

Out team member James from Madonna-TV.com informs us that a new remix of Madonna’s Frozen has been played on UK radio last Saturday during the Judge Jules show on BBC Radio 1 (live from Global Gathering this week). “The second track he played was a new remix of Madonna’s ‘Frozen'”, James reports on Our Forum.

“Was kind of a BIG electro-house version – with a couple of major breakdown’s consisting of Madonna’s beautiful vocals (verse and chorus) in near-acapella. Then all the “hmmmm” stuff was repeated over the music. Thought it was alright – you can hear it by listening to his show online – it’s the 2nd track following the opening 10-minute mix by the Cutup Boys.

Strangely, it’s listed as Frozen – Umbrella – maybe it’s a mashup with a mix of Umbrella, but I didn’t recognise it as such (the only mix I know of Umbrella is the Seamus Haji mix – and it definitely had nothing to do with this one.

Saturday night Judge Jules on R1 is a pretty big deal for dance music exposure, so if he continues playing this in future weeks, there could end up being quite a buzz around this track. Almost 10 years after the original too…”
