Hi dear Tribe-Team!
I hope youre all doing well. I write to you to share my opinion on “Hey You“. Of course, I was more than happy to learn that the new song was available for free today and I did not waste a minute.
I was so eager to hear this song, what it would be like and all So after downloading I put on my headphones and listened whilst reading the songs lyrics on the news page. I can hardly explain what it did to me. It was like finally someone told me the exact things I needed to hear for a long time. You see, all of 2006 and the greater part of 2007 has been a pretty tough time for me and in the past few days I kinda struggled with myself, giving me a very hard time and then this song appears and it has just the positive message that I needed. That I needed to not completely let down myself. I know the song isnt supposed to be about just one person, but by letting the lyrics and music appeal to my heart and mind, I found that theres still hope left inside of me, that it is not the time to give up. The lines “Just be yourself, dont be so shy, theres reasons why its hard, keep it together, youll make it alright shook my foundation (no, really) and made me think a bit more positive. About myself, my friends and family and, of course, the world in general. It made me feel real good, real positive and I smiled to myself
So thank you, Madonna. Thanks for, once again, giving me a song to relate to, to show me that there is always a brighter side to the sorrows and downs in my life. And thanks for letting me remember that I am normally not that kind of person that gives up on himself, that I still have sun inside of me. That is why I love you, amongst other things. That you always manage to let people have part on your talent and your way of good-thinking.
You are, truly, a star. Larger than life. J
