Inside Madonna’s Home
The Ritchie‘s countryside mansion in Wiltshire as photographed by Tim Walker for the US edition of “Vogue” magazine is among the celebrity houses and gardens features in “Vogue Living: Houses, Gardens, People“, a new illustrated book by the magazine’s editor Hamish Bowles.
Bowles created the book ad an homage to the fashion world with spreads on current and past homes of Oscar de la Renta, Donna Karan, Karl Lagerfeld and the late Gianni Versace.
E! Online‘s Mark Malkin’s favorite is a tour of Madonna and Guy Ritchie‘s English country manor.
“It’s the legendary Ashcombe estate of 1,000 acres of rolling hills and valleys. The late legendary portrait photographer Cecil Beaton leased the place for 15 years in the 1930s and ’40s.”
“And leave it to Vogue and Madonna to pay tribute to Beaton’s extravagant lifestyle by temporarily dyeing some of the Ritchies’ sheep pastel pink, blue, yellow and green just for their photo shoot.”
