It’s all about chemistry
British audiences have voted the pairing of actors having the least onscreen chemistry in survey of 3,000 movie-goers by cinema advertisers Pearl and Dean.
Actors Natalie Portman and Hayden Christensen
were voted as having the least plausible chemistry, in their two Star Wars movies, beating Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez for their performance in Gigli at #2 and Keira Knightley and Orlando Bloom in the Pirates of the Caribbean trilogy at #3.
Once again, the British audience seems not to forget about Guy Ritchie’s “Swept Away” – no matter if the movie received such a fierce negative campaign from the press that it went straight to DVD in the UK.
And there they are, Madonna and Adriano Giannini making the list at #4. In quite a good company, not only of the couples who made the chart’s first three places, but also right before Catherine Zeta Jones and Sir Sean Connery in “Entrapment“, Hugh Grant and Andie MacDowell for “Four Weddings and a Funeral“, Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman in “Eyes Wide Shut“, Heath Ledger and Jake Gyllenhaal in “Brokeback Mountain“, and “Titanic” stars Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet closing the top ten.
