”Jump”-ing back up the AC charts
After its demise due to American radio stations switching to holiday music, Madonna’s “Jump” has skyrocketed in the airplay charts now that Christmas is over.
As of New Year’s Day, the song had literally jump-ed from #54 to #26 on the Mediabase AC charts, there were 139 spins – which is up from 50 and more than a 200% increase – and the numbers continue to be on the rise. Not only that, all of this has so far been without WLTW, the New York station that was its big supporter.
This is rather unexpected, and it is of course very important that American fans request this song and get it going before new music for 2007 takes it over.
Also, at least 11 radio stations that hadn’t played “Jump” in at least 4 weeks have put it back on their playlists – so, American fans, please start requesting Jump” again!
