Madonna and Guy in The Sunday Times List of Music Millionaires
Andrew Lloyd Webber has shot up The Sunday Times Rich List of Music Millionaires – thanks to his BBC show “How Do You Solve a Problem Like Maria?”, the Daily Mail reports today.
Webber has replaced Sir Paul McCartney by taking the second spot in this year’s rankings, with a total wealth of £750 million.
The list is topped by Clive Calder, former record label boss behind pop acts including Britney Spears, is once again Britain’s only music billionaire, with £1.3 billion.
Bolstered by the huge success of American Idol, Simon Fuller’s wealth has risen to £450 million – a joint fourth place in the music millionaires list with Sir Cameron Mackintosh.
Madonna and Guy Ritchie remain static in sixth place even though their wealth has increased to £275 million this year, according to the newspaper’s estimate.
