Maverick Films gets Hosed
The Hollywood Reporter reports that Madonna’s Maverick Films has teamed with HBO Films for Hosed, a feature comedy to co-star Chris Pontius, Steve “Steve-O” Glover, Preston Lacy and Jason “Wee Man” Acuna, who appeared with Johnny Knoxville and Bam Margera on MTV’s successful series “Jackass,” as well as the two hit films it spawned: Jackass: The Movie and Jackass Number Two.
Now in development, the film is described as a broad comedy about an uncoordinated, over-enthusiastic volunteer firefighter who is finally assigned to a firehouse where he has to deal with a band of misfit firefighters from the wrong side of the tracks, played by Pontius, Glover, Lacy and Acuna with Pontius playing the leader of the band. The volunteer firefighter with whom they interact has not been cast.
Adam “Tex” Davis (“Just Friends”) will pen the script based on an idea by Michael Schreiber and Maverick’s Brent Emery. Hosed will be released by Picturehouse, the theatrical distribution company jointly owned by HBO and New Line Cinema. Maverick’s Guy Oseary, Emery and Mark Morgan will produce with Schreiber executive producing.
