Following a heavy promotion in FNAC stores nationwide, “Confessions On A Dance Floor” reached #5 on the album chart of the French retailer.

Madonna is the first of many celebrities to snap up a pair of shoes from hot new designer Alejandro Ingelmo, the Britsh Vogue’s online website reports.

The patent peep-toe platforms, which she wears in the H&M campaign to launch her M for Madonna line, are currently being sold exclusively at Harvey Nichols. The star, who once famously said Manolo Blahnik shoes were “better than sex”, loved Ingelmo’s shoes so much, she even wrote him a personal thank you note.

A third-generation cobbler originally from Miami, Ingelmo was inspired by his grandfather’s designs and consequently moved to New York when his label took off. The bright tones used in his spring/summer 2007 collection are inspired by the dazzling coastal colours and vibrant atmosphere of his native Miami. Definitely worth a look.
