More M by Madonna in Rome

“Hello MadonnaTribe,
I happen to live a few minute drive from the Roma Est mall where the new – and only – H&M store in Rome is located and I had a chance to pay a visit a few times since it opened its doors one week ago, noticing how fast the M by Madonna collection had been selling.

I have to say that the Rome store did not get the full Madonna range, but nonetheless they are going towards a sold out very quickly. It may not be nice to show images from a half-empty shop, but I thought it was cool to send in some pictures I took today at lunchtime so that you and the Tribers can compare how the store looks now and how few M by Madonna items are left in stock. The silk scarves were probably the first ones to become sold out (they only had the one with the “M” logo on in two different colors) and I saw none left right after a few hours after the store opened on March 31st. The black tie and the sunglasses also were all gone on the first day of sale. And soon after did the white trench coat – and you can notice in the pictures that the one in the store window is also gone, leaving the mannequin half naked… There are also a very few shoes left and I didn’t see any more leotards today.

They say they are not going to re-stock anything from the M collection – I suppose this is due to the fact that the store opened more than a week later then when the campaign started, but it was cool to notice that now they have the M by Madonna carrier bags in cardboard, while they only had those in plastic on the first few days. So I did a little more H&M shopping to get one. When you walk arounf in this huge shopping mall you see a lot of people carring the M shopping bag, so I guess it’s being very very popular among Roman fashionistas…”
